Dortmund seeks second Champions League title
Borussia Dortmund has advanced to the UEFA Champions League final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate. The German club will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final on Saturday.
Dortmund, which won the Champions League in 1997, is seeking its second title in the competition. The club has been in impressive form this season, winning the Bundesliga and reaching the final of the German Cup.
Paris Saint-Germain was the favorite to reach the final, but Dortmund was the better team over the two legs. The German club won the first leg 2-1 in Paris and held on for a 1-0 victory in the second leg on Tuesday.
Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic praised his players for their performance. "We played with a lot of heart and desire," he said. "We knew it would be a difficult match, but we never gave up. We're very proud to have reached the final."
